A POUSADA

THE LODGE

Set in the heart of the Atlantic Forest, the REGUA lodge offers a peaceful and immersive stay surrounded by native vegetation, while being conveniently located just 400 metres from the visitor centre. The lodge combines comfort with excellent access to trails and observation towers, including a bird hide known as Amanda’s Hide. It features 10 comfortable en-suite bedrooms accommodating up to 18 guests, comprising six double rooms — three of which include a private balcony or terrace — two twin rooms and two single rooms. A small additional single room is also available for guides or drivers, upon request.

All rooms are equipped with air-conditioning or ceiling fans. All accommodation is provided on a full-board basis, with breakfast, lunch and dinner included. Packed lunches are available on request for full days in the field.

The lodge also offers a well-stocked natural history library, Wi-Fi, and a swimming pool, providing a comfortable space to review field notes and bird lists at the end of the day. Parking is available right next to the lodge.

Check-in is from 14:00, and check-out is by 12:00. Each evening, at around 18:00, the lodge manager visits the lodge to ensure everything is running smoothly and to assist guests with planning the following day’s activities and excursions. Tea and coffee are available throughout the stay, allowing guests to relax and feel at home at any time.

And don’t forget! At 6.30 pm we serve a complimentary caipirinha served at the lodge’s veranda.

CONSERVATION FOCUS

By staying at REGUA, guests directly support conservation: all tourism income is reinvested into funding the REGUA restoration and biodiversity conservation project. We warmly welcome birdwatchers who support REGUA to visit and see how their contribution helps protect and restore one of the most important Atlantic Forest reserves — and returning visitors are always invited to discover how the reserve continues to grow.

Room rates are available upon request.
